Sports Massage

A sports massage is highly used to treat muscular skeletal injuries, increase muscle condition and flexibility. There are a wide range of techniques used in sports massage. i'll use a range of techniques according to your individual needs, such as deep tissue massage, Neuromuscular techniques, soft tissue release, muscle energy techniques and stretching. A sports massage is used on many occasions including, pre event, post event, as part of a training programme and to treat tight muscles. As well as being beneficial to those participating in sports, this treatment also helps with sciatica, back pain, whip lash, sports injuries and to speed up recovery rate. Bt receiving a sports massage you can help decrease pain, increase muscle flexibility, improve recovery after injury, maximise performance and prevent injuries from occurring.

Hot Stones

Smooth, rounded basalt stones are gently heated in water and then coated in oil and used in the massage as an extension of our therapist's hands. The heat within the stones works deep into your muscles and induces deep relaxation. This treatment can be a great combination of deep tissue work and/or a wonderfully warming and relaxing treatment. The heat of the stones warms the skin encouraging the absorption of moisturising and therapeutic oils. Each stroke of the stones is worth 10 strokes of our therapist’s hand, so your muscles are massaged deeply, reducing general aches and pains. This is a warming treatment and deep massage, helping your body to relax, detox and heal.

Deep Tissue Massage

Massaging out tension can take time – especially if you don’t have regular massage treatments. If you have an achy back, neck and shoulders, but your legs are feeling pretty tight too – opt for our 75 minute treatment. We always start a course of treatment with a 60min initial session, so we can determin the problem areas. You discuss where the issues are with our therapist, and we will use our remedial expertise to reduce your aches and pains with shorter targetted sessions (if apropriate) without over-working your body.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage uses slightly different techniques to the deep tissue and classic massages. It is a stimulating and invigorating treatment which is designed to relax muscles and relieve pain by applying pressure to your muscles so that they are pressed against your deeper muscles and bones. This releases toxins and encourages blood flow to the heart. It's ideal as a straightforward massage treatment for those who would like a slightly lighter touch than the deep tissue treatment.

Combination Massage (a bespoke treatment using different techniques of massage)

The above bespoke treatment focuses on your specific needs following a consultation. Each area will make up a 60min treatment. This most frequently requested combination massage is comprised of the Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue Massages but can also combine Tui Na massage, Myofascial Release Massage, Sports Massage, or any other combination. The deeper work is targeted in the areas where extra work is needed to soothe and relax those very tight muscles. It is an excellent starter massage along with the best for regular body maintenance.

Indian Head Massage

The aim is to improve blood circulation which encourages detoxification and a better oxygen supply to the cells. The immune system is stimulated and joint mobility encouraged. Treatment is started on the upper back (shoulders and neck), as tension in this area is all connected to the tension felt in the neck and head. A lot of stress is found in the muscles of the face too so this area is worked on as well, including the ears. After the scalp massage the arms and hands are worked on to complete the circuit. This deeply relaxing massage can promote calmness and well-being whilst also encouraging healing and improving concentration. This treatment could be ideal for stress, tension, pain, headaches, anxiety, fatigue, and sinus problems due to relieving muscle tension.

Tui Na Massage

The term tui na (pronounced "twee naw"), which literally means "pinch and pull," refers to a wide range of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapeutic massage and body work. Tui na is not generally used for pleasure and relaxation, but rather as a treatment to address specific patterns of disharmony. Along with working to balance Yin and Yang energies, Tui Na recognizes the importance of a healthy spine. Opening blockages along the spine is crucial to allowing the body to heal itself.

Holistic back Treatment

A facial for the back – hot towels to open the pores then an exfoliating scrub to remove all the dead skin cells (We use mineral salts to deep cleanse the back and stimulate the circulation). Then a purifying mineral clay pack is applied followed by infra red therapy to draw impurities and detox. Finished off with a soothing and nourishing cell repair massage which will leave you feeling regenerated.This treatment creates a visibly refined, clean and even skin tone and reduces impurities and redness

MLD (manual lymphatic drainage) massage is renowned for speeding up your recovery process after vaser liposuction & treating post operative swelling.

It has been around for decades and plastic surgeons recommend it as a basic method for treating postoperative swelling and tissue damage.

Procedures that affect or remove your lymph nodes can cause lymphedema as a side effect. Lymphedema will only occur in the area near a surgical site. For example, if you have lymph nodes removed as a part of cancer surgery to your left breast, only your left arm, not your right, might be affected with lymphedema. Lymphedema can also occur as a result of an injury or medical conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF) or blood clots in the body.

To move waste fluids away from the damaged area, lymphatic massage, which uses a gentle pressure, can help. It’s one technique used to reduce lymphedema.

The Practitioner uses only the lightest touch during a treatment, combined with specific energy-body awareness and breathwork techniques. These help to raise the client's energetic vibration on a sub-cellular level through the scientific principles of resonance and entrainment.
